Legit Guide to Watching 2XKO @ Evo 2026 (Real)

Watching Evo for the first time? Here’s a very serious guide on how to make the most of your viewing experience.

Welcome back to the Weekend Warmup.

The 2XKO Major at Evo 2026 starts tomorrow. bleed, Hikari, SonicFox/INZEM and Supernoon are some of the frontrunners to be champion, but the open bracket format naturally lends itself to dramatic upsets. Ultimately, anyone can sign up and take it in the end, and I can’t wait to watch along.

However, the first boss is physically getting to Las Vegas. Flights, hotels, surviving in the literal desert—stepping foot in the hallowed halls of the Convention Center already requires bravery that only a select few have mustered.

Fortunately, you can skip the airport lines and catch all the action from your couch. As a professional stream monster, I’ll be spectating from home all weekend and flooding our social channels with the best highlights. Here is your ultimate guide to the tips, tools, and talking points you need to watch your first Evo like an absolute expert.

Players to Watch (and Talking Points to Hit)

Evo is that singular weekend where you’re granted a total pass to plunge into the deep end of FGC discourse without a single hour of lab time. If you’re looking to pass as a grizzled veteran, review and deploy these curated storylines:

  • ONi bleed and M80 Hikari dominated the last two Majors, so they’re both looking to run it back.
  • FLY SonicFox/SR INZEM won COMBO BREAKER, and have shown the power of a coordinated duo.
  • EG Supernoon is on a generational run of Top 3 finishes, and needs a dub.
  • ZETA 2WINz Haru/Toshi are beginning to close the gap on Sonic/INZEM’s duo history with a win at Red Bull Knockout last month.
  • KRX poka is likely Japan’s #1 contender and has been training at Noon’s bootcamp.
  • Globo’s a high performer and a god-killer, but hasn’t yet reached a grand final.
  • Repping France, M8 Wawa’s strong showing at Evo Japan is closely followed by Kayne’s W at The Mixup this month.
  • FGC uncs TSM Leffen, ONIC NYChrisG, and DFM ikoan have always placed well when taking on the young’uns for a title.

There’s a lot to follow, and a lot of drama yet to be written. Worst case scenario, hit Show Projected on the start.gg bracket, headcanon the paths to Top 8, and treat them as unassailable facts.

Crossing the Streams

Each major event has a broadcast schedule that sorta looks like a cryptic crossword. Observe it. Embrace it. Laminate it and study it at night.

At any given moment, dozens of pools are running simultaneously. Between 2XKO’s on-site broadcasters and Evo’s official streams, you might have four different 2XKO matches running at once. For those who can split focus, check out MultiTwitch (if your setup can handle it) to get several feeds up and running.

If that sounds exhausting, sticking to a single main stream is completely valid. FGC commentators are the backbone of the broadcast: they’re hosts, interpreters, storytellers, and vibe curators. Watching Evo online is like hanging out with a couple of your most talkative friends while your sweatiest acquaintances fight in the living room.

The Perfect Setup

Crafting the perfect stream-watching setup is unbeaten tech. Here’s my personal recipe for 10-hour stream days:

  1. Dual monitors: one for stream, one for socials/bracket.
  2. Over-ear headphones: the universal symbol for “nobody talk to me.”
  3. Comfy chair: 10+ hours per day can be a lot. Walk around on the hour.
  4. Controller: for labbing during ad breaks.
  5. The Big Drink: coffee, tea, water, soda—get a Big Receptacle and drink out of it.
  6. Climate control: Big blanket + hoodie. Fan + ice pack. Whatever you need.
  7. Food order: you worked hard this week, so treat yourself. (You know where I’m gonna recommend.)
  8. 2-foot radius: popoffs can be dangerous. Give yourself space to freak out.

If All Else Fails, Preload an Excuse

Lastly, when your favourite player gets knocked into losers, don’t panic. Use this pre-approved list of coping mechanisms to defend their honour:

“P2 has side disadvantage”; “duos coaching mid-set is unfair”; “the AC was cranked too high”; “looked like seating was uncomfortable”; “bracket seeding was unfair”; “the venue lights were too bright”; “it should have been best-of-five”; “this doesn’t happen at their local”; “Riot balances the game too much”; “Riot doesn’t balance the game enough”; “Thresh is broken (good)”; “Senna is broken (bad)”; “it was controller / screen / console / hand / jet lag”, “solos are OP”; “duos are OP”; “L + duoless + they didn’t want to win anyway + they only played for the Pool Party skin”.

Study your storylines, brush up on your broadcasts, and ready your room. I’ll see you in chat tomorrow. See the full schedule for Evo 2026 here.

Closing Thoughts

Still working on the console issues. Appreciate all the reports on it.

I am immensely grateful for all the positive vibes from the community leading into Evo. The creativity and passion you show for this game every day means a lot to me and the team. Even if they’re not actively out there talking online, know that a great deal of Rioters care about you all and what you think, so if you happen to see someone from the team IRL, feel free to reach out and chat.
