New Duo Features Coming to 2XKO Next Week
You’ve told us that playing 2XKO as a duo is one of the best ways to sharpen your skills or add a fun co-op twist to your gameplay. In Patch 1.2.1, launching May 12, we’re adding a suite of features for duo players, including a new Fuse. Here’s a quick look at what’s coming.

New Duo Fuse: Teamfight
We’re adding a new Fuse: Teamfight . 2XKO’s Fuse system allows you to tailor your teamwork by choosing how your champs can tag in and out. Choosing Teamfight allows both champions to be on screen and controllable simultaneously for a short window.
Both you and your partner must spend one bar of meter each. Activate Teamfight by pressing and any Normal attack button (
,
, or
). Once active, you have seven seconds of simultaneous play.
Solo players can use Teamfight too, controlling both champions at once using the same inputs. Hold to focus only on your point character.
Teamfight is for duos looking to expand their teamwork options, or for players who prefer a more improvisational, chaotic flavor of gameplay.
How To Play Against Teamfight
Having two champions attacking at once might sound overwhelming, so for those of you fearing for your mental stack, here’s some more info:
- While in Teamfight mode, you lose access to Team actions like Tag Launcher, Assists, and Break . You also cannot use Ultimates while the Fuse is active for your team.
- As a defender, any hit landed on a Teamfighting duo reduces the Teamfight timer .
- If a defender lands a successful Ultimate (on the Point or Assist champ), it ends the Teamfight immediately.
- A Teamfighting Assist character only hits mids , meaning the offensive team has to work harder for creative offense.
There are some more nuances which we’ll cover in the 1.2.1 Patch Notes.
“Find Duo” & Duo Voice Chat
Finding a partner you vibe with is rewarding, but can be tricky if you don’t know where to start. Hit “Find Duo” in the invite screen to search for another player who also wants to pair up.
Once you’re in the duo together, you can enable in-game voice chat , allowing you to coordinate your Teamfight plays in real time. Open Settings > Text & Voice Chat, then turn on “Duo Voice Chat.” After that, you’ll automatically enter voice chat with teammates, as long as they also have the setting enabled.
Season 2 and Ranked Reset
Patch 1.2.1 also brings the start of Season 2 , which has a new Battle Pass featuring skins and avatar items, as well as a soft reset to your current rank. More details on that coming in the 1.2.1 patch notes next week.
Our seasons and champ releases are mostly separate now, so for those of you waiting to see 2XKO’s next champion, Senna, we appreciate your patience while we get her ready.
Patch 1.2.1 launches May 12. Grab a duo, climb the ranks, and jump into a Teamfight!
